One effect may require an additional purchase if you plan to incorporate it regularly into your performances, but you can initially experiment with materials you already possess.

Q: CAN YOU USE THIS MATERIAL IN CLOSE-UP OR STROLLING SETTINGS?

A: ‘Constellation’ can be performed anywhere. However, the other routines are tailored for stage or platform performances and are not suited for close-up or strolling situations. For example, you can present this material effectively to a dinner audience in a ballroom, but it wouldn’t be appropriate for a cocktail hour.

Q: IS THIS A SEQUEL TO ‘HERE IS REAL MAGIC’?

A: No, it is not. Clouds and Kingdoms serves as a technical guide for professional magicians and mentalists, focusing solely on practical information without narrative elements. If you’re a non-magician who enjoyed Here is Real Magic and seeks more of my work, please be patient. With this book completed, I’ll soon begin writing my next public release. However, I recommend skipping this one. Thank you for your understanding.

A: Clouds and Kingdoms is limited to just 1,000 copies. Once they are sold out, they will not be reprinted, and I will not teach this material in any other format. You won’t see “Dollar” featured in a future lecture series or notes. These routines will be taught exclusively here, and once the 1,000 copies are gone, this site will be taken down permanently. If I achieve a successful career in magic and later decide to publish the Nate Staniforth Collected Works, there will be significant gaps where this material could have been included. My previous book for the magic community, The Lottery Ticket (2012), made a similar promise, and given its resale prices on eBay, I sometimes wish I had printed more copies.

I have collaborated closely with the printer to discreetly mark each copy of Clouds and Kingdoms in various ways, with at least three methods remaining undetectable even under close inspection. Since I personally handle each order, I will know which customer receives each copy. While this doesn’t completely eliminate the risk of piracy, it allows me to identify any unauthorized distribution.
