Dr. Manhattan Change & Book Change by Chris Brown
Episode IV – The Dr. Manhattan Change (DMC) is among my favorite color changes. I believe that the more cover you provide during a color change, the less magical it appears to the audience, as they may suspect something sneaky. The DMC is one of the most open and quickest changes I’ve encountered. If Dr. Manhattan, the ultimate superhero, performed a color change, it would look like this. I’ve been using the DMC for over three years in all my performances. While the concept is straightforward, the meticulous execution behind this move is what makes it truly impactful. Danny Garcia inspired my creative journey to refine this technique at Magic Con 1. Since then, I’ve evolved it into what it is today. It consistently elicits strong reactions, making it a crowd favorite and one of the most direct color changes I’ve ever seen. It showcases technique to fellow card enthusiasts and delivers a genuine moment of magic for your audience.
The Book Change is arguably one of the most distinctive changes ever created. Its unique delivery sets it apart, placing it in a league of its own. I also provide a control technique and additional tips to incorporate this into a powerful routine. The Book Change has astonished numerous magicians, and few color changes can match its rarity.
In my view, true visual magic is defined by color changes, which is why the Arthritis Onslaughts feature so many. This download offers a two-in-one experience, and I’m excited to present both of these techniques to you. Welcome to Episode IV: The DMC & BC.
