This format is ideal for parlor or stage performances, but it can also be used in close-up settings, easily fitting into your pocket. The stunning card layout was created in collaboration with Phill Smith, who developed an ingenious dual marking system that remains invisible to the audience while being clearly visible to the performer from up to ten feet away or directly from a spread. If you are familiar with Phill’s work (e.g., ‘DMC Elites’, ‘Creative Solutions’), you know how truly deceptive his markings can be. (R)emote includes a downloadable 40-page instructional manual detailing various routines. Additionally, you will gain access to four performance videos and a private Facebook group where mentalists can share innovative ideas for effects and presentations using the deck. A SNEAK PEAK AT THE MAIN EFFECT: (Please note that the following routine DOES NOT utilize the marks in any way, allowing the performer to stand across the stage or even be blindfolded during the entire demonstration.) The performer removes a card and places it in full view of the audience, unseen. From this moment, the routine is completely hands-off, with the cards shuffled by one or two spectators. Phase 1: A volunteer takes the shuffled pack and reveals the top card. This individual is instructed to concentrate solely on the ESP symbol and mentally transmit that thought to you, the mentalist. You successfully guess the correct symbol immediately. This process is repeated: the volunteer reveals a second card and is asked to visualize a landscape in the color of the symbol. You astonishingly describe the image the spectator has just imagined, along with the color they selected. Finally, a third card is revealed. After accurately divining geometric shapes and colors in the previous phases, you raise the stakes by attempting to discern the location the spectator is envisioning. (No forcing, fishing, or peeking, no marks, no sleights…) Phase 2: The entire pack is turned over, and the top six cards are distributed among audience members. You can instantly name all the elements on each selected card, one by one. Phase 3: After successfully showcasing your telepathic and remote viewing abilities, you engage the entire audience to determine who the most intuitive individuals are. You ask everyone to think of a symbol, a color, and a country. Then, you draw attention back to the card you initially revealed. You turn it over and, by show of hands, reveal that the majority of the audience has somehow managed to guess the elements on that card.
