Present a striking red deck of cards and begin to deal them face up, one by one. The spectator can call “stop” at any moment.

When they stop on a card (for instance, the 9 of Hearts), you set it aside. You then reveal that all the remaining cards have standard red backs. However, when you turn over the 9 of Hearts, it astonishingly displays the message, “I knew you would pick the 9 of Hearts!” on its back.

This effect features an instant reset, requires no sticky materials or short cards, and is simple to create and perform.
