This effect has been a closely guarded secret until now. Picture performing the classic bill in lemon with a borrowed bill, only to repeat the effect with another lemon that has been visible throughout the performance. Both lemons can be examined beforehand, and there’s absolutely NO SWITCHING involved. No elaborate gimmicks are required; you can execute this using everyday items found in your home. This method is exceptionally clean and surpasses other bill in lemon routines that cost hundreds of dollars. This is the professional routine that Devin incorporates into his own act, and unlike many alternatives, it does not require a briefcase.

Effect: The magician borrows a dollar bill from a spectator, who reads the serial number aloud. The magician writes this number on a piece of cardboard for everyone to see.

Next, the magician draws attention to two lemons on a table, which can be freely examined from all angles, as there are no hidden openings. The spectator who lent the bill picks one lemon and marks it with their initials to ensure it cannot be switched. The second lemon remains on the table, designated as the target. The magician displays an ungimmicked handkerchief, folds the borrowed bill, and places it beneath the handkerchief. With a snap of the handkerchief towards the target lemon, the bill mysteriously vanishes.

With empty hands, the magician takes a knife and slices off the top of the lemon, revealing a folded bill inside. The spectator unfolds the bill, and it matches the serial number previously recorded!

The magician then suggests trying again. The spectator places their marked lemon back on the table. The magician removes the produce label from this lemon and uses it to mark the bill. After refolding the bill and placing it under the handkerchief, the magician snaps the handkerchief once more, making the bill disappear again. NO DEVIL’S HANK is used as in previous methods.

With hands shown to be empty, the magician cuts open the lemon from the table, revealing yet another bill inside. The spectator is invited to retrieve the bill and unfold it, discovering that it bears the same sticker marking from before it vanished. The serial number is confirmed to match the one written on the cardboard! The magician has successfully performed the bill in lemon twice in succession, using the same bill and different methods each time. The spectator can keep their bill as a souvenir, as it is ungimmicked, or the magician may exchange it for a new one. This version also includes fresh comedic material not found in the original.
