This is the trick Paul performs when asked to do a card trick. It enhances one of the most powerful card tricks of all time, allowing you to execute an incredibly slow and deliberate card transposition, with the ability for your audience to examine the cards immediately afterward.

Here’s how it works:

You start by removing two court cards from the deck: a black King and a red Queen. The Queen is placed in the middle of the deck, while the King is shown on top. You ask your audience to remember this moment. After squaring the deck, you place the King out-jogged in the middle. Slowly and cleanly, you rotate the King while it’s still in the deck. To their astonishment, the King transforms into the Queen, and the King returns to the top of the deck. You’ve just traveled back in time, and both cards can be examined right away.
