Who Is He?

Michael Finney is a celebrated comedy magician with over 35 years of experience in the industry.

Initially, he performed as a close-up magician and entertained children at a theme park. Eventually, he focused exclusively on comedy magic, captivating audiences worldwide, including at the 2004 Inaugural Gala for President George W. Bush and the renowned Palladium Theater in London.

Finney was a finalist on the comedy competition Star Search, hosted by Ed McMahon, and frequently appeared on NBC’s World’s Greatest Magicians and World’s Wildest Magic Shows.

He has received the Silver Lion’s Head award from Siegfried and Roy for outstanding comedy and magic. He was also named Comedy Magician of the Year and Parlor Magician of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles, and in 2008, he was recognized as one of the top 10 comedy magicians by his peers. In 2009, he was honored with the World Comedy Magic Act of the Year award from Gay Blackstone.

Finney is among the few magicians to have established his own foundation, The Michael Finney Foundation. His charitable work supports the Gift of Life, a Rotarian initiative that provides surgeries for children with heart defects, as well as The Wounded Warrior programs: Operation One Voice and Hope for the Warriors. As of January 2015, his foundation has nearly reached $1,000,000 in donations to these causes.
