BACKLOG: Spread the deck face up and invite a spectator to freely choose a card, leaving it face up on the table. The spectator spells the name of their card, first the suit, then the value, revealing two random cards. The values of these cards are summed—perhaps a 3 and a 10, totaling 13. When the spectator turns their card over, the number 13 is boldly written on the back!

THE DETECTIVE: A spectator selects a card from a packet. Using the name of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, they successfully locate their card.

MILLENNIUM COUNT DOWN: Another intriguing card discovery that will leave audiences puzzled!

IN THE NICK OF TIME: Two cards are selected and signed. Each is sealed in a separate envelope. One is chosen and burned, while you claim it will invisibly transfer to the other envelope. When opened, both signed cards are revealed, but the supposedly burned card is charred on the back, having escaped just in time!

FOUND BY COINCIDENCE: A two-part routine where a spectator finds their own card, followed by an astonishing coincidence with the remaining cards.

CLONING: Using the word “CLONING,” a spectator finds two matching cards from a randomly chosen packet.

COLOROSITY: Through positive and negative vibrations, two selected cards travel among cards of opposite colors.

COLOROSITY PLUS!

ROY WALTON ON COLOROSITY: Roy Walton offers a variation that deviates from the two-hand deal.

COLOUR MAGNET: A spectator is given six cards. After cutting them as they wish, they manage to reveal five black cards, with the sixth being a red Queen.

SPRINGHEEL JACK: A spectator selects and mixes five cards before laying them face down. You remove the Jack of Spades and place it in your pocket. When they select one of the five cards, it turns out to be the Jack of Spades, while the missing number card remains in your pocket.

HAND PICKED: A spectator deals five hands of five cards each. After selecting and shuffling one hand, they note a card and return all piles to the deck. You then produce two cards, totaling 11, and the spectator counts down to the 11th card to find their selection.

WITHOUT A DARE IN THE WORLD: A spectator shuffles a deck and cuts it into two halves. They place an envelope on one half, and the top card of the other half matches the card inside the envelope!

A STEBBISH LOCATION: While your back is turned, a spectator rolls two dice to get a random number. They deal that many cards and note the card at that position. Another spectator uses the same number to deal further into the deck and notes a card. After squaring the deck and cutting it, you instantly produce the first selection and name the second!

ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING: You ask a spectator to name a king—perhaps Diamonds. You cut the King of Diamonds to the top and remove the two black Aces, explaining that the King represents Elvis, with the Aces as his bodyguards. After placing Elvis between them and popping the sandwich into a card box, you reveal that Elvis had a secret way of leaving unnoticed. When the deck is tossed, the three-card sandwich appears, and when the box is opened, the audience finds three Elvis impersonators instead of the real deal!

EASY-GOING DIARY: You present a diary filled with random playing cards linked to dates and names. A spectator looks up their birthday, announces a card—perhaps the Ace of Spades—and you slide it out of the deck. After turning the deck face down, you reveal that the card has the spectator’s name boldly written on the back!

JACKS WILL TRAVEL: You remove the four Jacks and have a card selected and returned to the deck. After cutting the deck, the Jacks are placed face up on one half. One by one, they leave and appear in the half you hold, but the fourth Jack refuses to travel. You spread the tabled half to find the Jack still there, face up, with the selected card right above it.

LOOKING UPWARDS: The two black Kings are placed on top of the deck. A spectator chooses a card, leaving it in place. You riffle the deck, causing one King to vanish, only to find it next to the selected card. This simple plot is executed with all cards face up, serving as a nice introduction to something more elaborate.

MATCHING GILBREATH: A spectator shuffles the deck, and you turn over pairs of cards, each consisting of a red and black card. After placing each pair on the table, you invite them to turn over the pairs, revealing that every pair now matches—red-red, black-black, and so on!

SPELL-FINDER: A spectator cuts the four Aces into the deck. You give the deck a single cut and spell to each Ace one by one, with no moves or adjustments during the process.

CIRCULAR TOUR: A prediction involving a circle of cards that magically transforms into a second prediction.
