Effect:

Two spectators each choose a card, and the performer shuffles the deck with a riffle shuffle. The spectators then return the cards to the deck in a way that eliminates any suspicion of trickery. Importantly, the selections are not forced.

The performer spreads the deck face up on the table, revealing all card faces. Using contact mind reading, the first spectator holds the performer’s wrist as he glides his fingers over the cards. Suddenly, his finger lands on a card — it’s the first selection!

Next, the performer announces that the second card will be found through non-contact mind reading. He hands the deck to the second spectator for a thorough shuffle. Once again, the deck is spread face up. The second spectator is instructed to think “that’s it” when the performer’s finger hovers above the card. As the performer glides his finger over the cards, it unexpectedly lands on the second selected card.

The performer then gives the deck to a third spectator, who places it inside his right coat pocket. With the performer’s back turned, the spectator removes a card from the deck and places it in his left pocket, all while the performer remains unaware.

Turning back, the performer grabs a piece of cardboard and a black marker, writing down the name of a card before placing it face down on the table. The third spectator is asked to reveal the card from his left pocket to the audience.

When the performer flips over the cardboard, it reveals the name of the card that was hidden in the spectator’s pocket. There is absolutely no double writing or secret methods involved. This effect showcases genuine psychic ability, leaving audiences utterly baffled!

This routine is so powerful that it frequently earns standing ovations from audiences. It’s a stunning performance that can even fool seasoned magicians. No marked cards, complex sleights, secret assistants, or stooges are involved — it’s a true one-person act.
