Scoundrels Touch (2 DVD Set) by Sheets, Hadyn, and Anton

This two-disc set features Chef Anton, Whit Haydn, and Bob Sheets as they delve into an advanced system for the shell game. They provide detailed routines with engaging patter and alternative endings suitable for walk-around performances, while also revealing the techniques used by hustlers to execute their scams. The psychology and philosophy behind the game are thoroughly explored and demonstrated, with the advanced shell techniques from Volume I fully explained and showcased in live performances.

On Disc I, Bob expands on his original instructions for the Sheets Acquitment and his shell game system, “Absolutely Nuts.” This disc includes a live performance in the Magic Castle’s Close-Up Gallery, showcasing new ideas and deceptive strategies. Whit contributes additional maneuvers and innovative devices that enhance the system’s effectiveness.

Disc II features Chef Anton performing and explaining his unique routine. Whit contrasts two distinct live performances of his shell routine in the Magic Castle, discussing psychological outs. The disc also includes captivating footage of a street hustler at a music festival, with insights from Scoundrel Member Giuseppe Aliotta on the props and betting cycles employed by modern street hustlers. Whit demonstrates how the maneuvers can be adapted for use with a handheld board, while new shells and props are introduced. The concept of “Thinking like a Scoundrel” is discussed in relation to magic performances, along with demonstrations of the Escobar Move and variations by Chanin, as well as multiple versions of the Kick Steal.
