The performer announces an experiment in serendipity, inviting audience members to write down simple objects on slips of paper.

Two spectators are invited on stage. One, the Sender, will choose a slip and draw it, while the other, the Receiver, will ‘free associate’ on a drawing pad. The performer demonstrates this by scribbling on one pad.

After collecting the slips, the Sender selects one, and both volunteers stand behind their easels, facing away from each other. The Receiver is blindfolded to ensure she cannot see the Sender’s slip or drawing.

Once blindfolded, the Sender confirms that her slip contains a drawable object. Both are given Sharpie markers and instructed to begin drawing.

When completed, they sign their names at the bottom of their drawings.

The Receiver is unblindfolded, and both spectators step forward.

The performer reveals the Sender’s easel to the audience, showcasing her drawing (let’s say it’s a motorcycle).

Then, the Receiver’s easel is turned around, revealing her scribbled drawing that strikingly resembles the Sender’s object!
