EFFECT: The performer invites a spectator on stage for a demonstration of muscle hypnosis. The spectator sits on a small wooden stool while the magician “hypnotizes” them into believing a small silk handkerchief weighs over 1,000 lbs.

An empty cardboard box is displayed and placed on the stool. A second spectator is invited to place the handkerchief inside the box and lift it effortlessly. However, when the hypnotized spectator attempts to lift the box, they find it impossible! The second spectator can even remove the handkerchief, making the box light enough for the hypnotized spectator to lift. But as soon as the handkerchief is placed back inside, the box becomes too heavy again! This effect creates laughter and amazement, making it perfect for both kids’ shows and adult audiences.
