Who Are They?

Dave “Pops” and Jake Rangel “Kid” are an award-winning father-son comedy magic duo known for their effortless charisma and confidence. They have performed globally, enchanting audiences with their legendary tales. Dave won the TAOM Close-Up award in 2014, while Jake received the Bob Blau Young Magician’s Award in 2018 from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Both were honored with the Houston Community Service Award by the Houston Police Department in 2020.

David’s radio show was voted the best in Houston by the Houston Press in 2011.

Jacob holds 20 welding certifications, along with qualifications in HVAC, electrical work, and accounting.

Interestingly, he once opened for “Alvin and The Chipmunks.”
