This package includes two exhilarating close-up routines that are enjoyable for both the performer and the audience. Each routine is straightforward to execute, and everything you need is included, allowing you to seamlessly integrate it into your performance. Compact and easy to carry, this routine packs small yet delivers a big impact!

Effect One: The magician presents a large card featuring various ‘smiley’ emotions, placing it face up on the table. Five smaller cards are displayed, and the spectator engages in an emotional game with the magician until only one card remains. When the large card is flipped over, it reveals a picture that perfectly matches the last card on the table.

Effect Two: With permission from David Britland, Paul shares his favorite close-up routine using two sets of emotion cards, known as ZENNERISM. Utilizing Paul’s smiley cards simplifies this routine and adds an element of fun. The spectator selects a packet of cards and secretly chooses one to keep in their pocket while the remaining cards are shuffled.

The magician then takes the second packet, mixes it, and places one card face down on the table. The spectator places their chosen card face up on top of the magician’s card. This process repeats three more times, with the magician laying down their card first each time. Ultimately, the magician’s fifth card is revealed to match the spectator’s pocketed card. All cards are gathered, and it is emphasized that the spectator’s choice was made after the magician had placed their cards down. When revealed, all the SMILEY cards match perfectly!
