Jacob Tanner, an orphan from Italy, claimed to see ghosts. To calm his mind, his guardians provided him with a puzzle, hoping it would distract him from the apparitions. When that failed, they gave him a bell, instructing him to ring it whenever he encountered a spirit. He complied, repeatedly, speaking in tongues, calling out random numbers, and foretelling disturbing murders that later came true.

The only comfort he had was a doll left by his birth parents before their passing.

In celebration of five years of Taboos, I am merging everything we’ve explored in previous courses into a fully immersive stage show I’ve been crafting over the past few years! This performance combines new creations with a cinematic narrative, all infused with my signature unsettling persona. Expect a blend of powerful mentalism, gripping storytelling, and both established and fresh effects that will leave your audience astounded and confused.

Alongside my complete bizarre stage show, I will teach several brand new effects, including:

INTO THE TAROT: An effect I’ve developed over the past year where a spectator selects three random tarot cards, receives a brief reading, and chooses the card that resonates most with them, culminating in a surprising twist that will astonish them! Perfect for beginners, this method allows you to provide an accurate reading with an unexpected conclusion, setting the stage for the finale.

BANE: A light-hearted performance piece suitable for both eerie and family-friendly shows! With a locked room murder premise, four participants appear to die on stage, revealing that a spectator was the murderer, but I orchestrated everything! This piece offers a much-needed break from the tension, allowing the audience to relax before the intensity ramps up again.

THE ARTEFACT: A pivotal effect designed specifically for my stage performances, crucial for the middle and conclusion of the show. This element ties the entire narrative together and features creepy dolls—who doesn’t love a creepy doll?

TOY CAR HAUNTING: Repurposing an item from Taboos 4, I transformed it into a horror film-worthy interaction. A toy car rolls across the stage as if pushed by a playful spirit, all triggered by you! Other objects like small balls and books can also be utilized!

ETCH A SPIRIT: A clever concept perfect for themed shows, allowing you to create Etch-a-Sketch Spirit Slates and a thumb-writable board! This idea is simple to execute and incredibly fun!

THE HAUNTED DOLL: I’ll teach you how to create an animatronic haunted doll without any electronics expertise! Control its head movement and make it cry on cue from across the room using items easily found at your local toy store!
