Sean Taylor – Fully Loaded Magazine
A spectator is presented with 2 or 3 magazines and freely selects one. The chosen magazine is then torn into pieces.
While turning away from the spectator, you ask them to examine a piece and identify any images, words, or colors they see. You take a piece of paper or board and begin writing. Once finished, the spectator reads aloud from their selected piece, and you reveal the board, showcasing that each word you wrote perfectly matches their description. This isn’t just a simple word or image; it encompasses a wealth of information, all accurate and distinct.
Importantly, there is NO pumping, NO equivoque, NO memory work, NO electronics, NO pre-show, and absolutely NO forcing. The magazine, the page, and the piece are all freely chosen, with each page appearing completely different.
No special tearing techniques, counting, or turnover moves are involved. Everything is 100% clean and fair. You never need to look at the piece of paper, yet you can reveal every detail with astonishing accuracy.
The board you write on can even be given away, as it is completely genuine. You can immediately repeat the effect with a different page, piece, and entirely new information—again and again if desired.
This effect can utilize any magazine, catalog, or journal, which can be prepared in your hotel room just an hour or two before the performance. Each magazine requires a one-time setup and is then good for 30 to 40 performances.
