Aldo Colombini – 5-Card Mystery

This captivating routine draws inspiration from Frank Garcia’s “Five-Card Stunner,” along with techniques from Ken de Courcy and Herb Rungay. Ideal for stand-up performances, whether on stage or in a parlor setting, it requires no table. You begin by displaying a black card (for example, the 9C) alongside four red cards. As you fan the cards, the black card mysteriously disappears, leaving only the four red cards. You then eliminate one red card and reveal the missing black card from your pocket. Once again, you show the cards, and upon fanning them, only three red cards remain; the black card has vanished yet again. After removing another red card, the black card reappears from your pocket. The process continues, and as you reveal just two red cards, the black card disappears once more. You then present a thrilling challenge: “This time, I’ll give you a 50-50 chance. I’ll take away the black card and place it in my pocket. What do you think the remaining card is? Red or black?” Most will guess “Red,” but when you turn over the card in your left hand, it’s the black card! This incredible routine comes complete with a DVD and all necessary cards.
