Discover the Magic of Brainstormer

Brainstormer is a hidden treasure in the realm of mental card magic. My journey with this trick began unexpectedly when I stumbled upon a close-up case that belonged to Morley Budden, the former owner of Kaymar Magic. Inside, I found a deck with no instructions, but I recognized other tricks in the case, like Psycho Dice and The Kick, which hinted at its potential.

Years later, I discovered a single A4 sheet detailing a trick called ‘Brainstormer’ and realized it was the same deck from Morley’s collection!

After reaching out to Mark Leveridge for collaboration, I was thrilled to secure the rights to this routine. I aimed to refine the handling for simplicity and clarity. However, Mark soon informed me that I had the old instructions and shared his updated method, which was flawless. It’s straightforward, deceptive, and quick to reset—truly an ideal card trick.

This trick comes with a special deck and a comprehensive video explanation, plus a bonus that allows you to perform it with different cards.

In essence, you and a spectator each receive a half of a double blank deck. Both of you randomly select a card and visualize it on the blank surface before returning the cards to your packets. With a magical gesture, when you reveal your packet, your chosen card appears printed in the center! The astonishment continues as the spectator reveals their half, discovering their freely named card has also materialized!
