Discover the Legendary Bruce Cervon’s Castle Notebooks
Bruce Cervon’s Castle Notebooks are a treasure trove for magic enthusiasts.
Upon relocating to Los Angeles to learn from the renowned Dai Vernon, Bruce Cervon meticulously documented the insider secrets shared by the Professor and other magic icons. He also recorded his original creations, many of which were reserved for his professional performances. Over the years, these notebooks expanded significantly, becoming a closely guarded collection that only a select few glimpsed, enhancing their legendary status in the magic community.
The notebooks inspired five books authored by Cervon and three volumes of The Vernon Chronicles. However, this barely scratches the surface. The Castle Notebooks encompass material Bruce intended for future publications about Vernon and himself, extensive notes on card cheating techniques (much of which was imparted by Vernon), unpublished works from magic greats, and Bruce’s own professional routines. The sheer volume and quality of content is impressive, spanning over 1500 pages.
Bruce Cervon’s Castle Notebooks represent a pinnacle for students of close-up magic from the illustrious era of the Magic Castle. They contain a wealth of tricks, techniques, and secrets that Cervon kept exclusive for years, many of which remain ahead of contemporary magic innovations. Honoring Bruce’s wish for this information to remain special, his wife, Linda Lipps Cervon, in collaboration with L&L Publishing, is releasing a facsimile collection of these notebooks in hardcover format. Each page is faithfully scanned from the original handwritten notes.
