Discover the Legendary Bruce Cervon’s Castle Notebooks
Renowned in the world of magic, Bruce Cervon’s Castle Notebooks are a treasure trove for enthusiasts and professionals alike.
When Bruce Cervon relocated to Los Angeles to learn from the legendary Dai Vernon, he meticulously documented the insider magic techniques shared with him. He also recorded his original creations, many of which were reserved for his professional performances. Over the years, these notebooks expanded significantly, and while Cervon kept them closely guarded, their reputation grew among magic’s elite.
The notebooks served as the foundation for five of Cervon’s own magic books and three volumes of The Vernon Chronicles. However, this is just a glimpse of what lies within. The Castle Notebooks encompass material intended for future publications about Vernon and Cervon, extensive notes on card cheating techniques (much of which was imparted by Vernon), unpublished insights from magic luminaries, and Bruce’s own professional routines. The sheer volume and caliber of this content is remarkable, spanning over 1500 pages.
Bruce Cervon’s Castle Notebooks represent a holy grail for close-up magic students, particularly from the golden era of the Magic Castle. They contain numerous tricks, sleights, and secrets that Cervon kept exclusive for years, many of which remain ahead of contemporary magic innovations. Honoring Bruce’s wish for this information to remain special, his wife, Linda Lipps Cervon, in collaboration with L&L Publishing, is releasing a facsimile set of hardcover books. Each page is faithfully scanned from the original handwritten notebooks.
