The magician presents a cased deck of cards as his prediction. Three volunteers are selected by tossing out three paper balls. Each volunteer, in a completely fair manner, chooses one attribute of a playing card, such as color, suit, or value (for instance, TEN OF HEARTS).

Once the card is freely chosen, the magician reveals that one card is face up in the deck—it matches the chosen card and has a different colored back than the rest! This is impressive on its own, but here’s the twist!

The three volunteers holding the crumpled paper balls are asked to unfold them and raise the papers high. The first paper reads TEN, the second says OF, and the last one states HEARTS!
