We are excited to introduce the latest masterpiece from one of magic’s most innovative minds. In Coin Compositions, the Spanish virtuoso merges coins with various elements to craft a dozen stunning effects that are both imaginative and seemingly impossible.
The first segment of this project showcases Miguel’s unique take on coin and card magic, featuring a fresh perspective on the Matrix plot and a pair of progressive assemblies that are cleverly deceptive yet surprisingly simple to perform.
Next, Miguel explores coin magic using unconventional objects such as paper, pens, Ramsay’s renowned cylinder, and even an extraordinary fictional piece involving a pipette.
Alongside the techniques and handling, Miguel shares his insights on creativity, theory, and presentation, offering a rare glimpse into the thought process of a true modern magician.
Contents:
Poker Matrix: Miguel ingeniously integrates a matrix effect within a gambling demonstration, resulting in a powerful illusion that exceeds the sum of its parts.
Coin in Pen: A lively routine utilizing just a coin and a pen, culminating in the complete disappearance of both the pen and cap after multiple appearances.
Sympathy: Three cards—an Ace, a Two, and a Four—are placed on the table. The magician reveals one coin under the Ace, two under the Two, and four under the Four.
Three Under: A brief yet impactful effect where three coins vanish from the magician’s hand and reappear under three previously placed cards.
Signed Translocation: A spectator’s signed coin is placed under a card, and the magician magically retrieves it multiple times, allowing for examination at the end.
Coins under Cards: Four coins vanish one by one, only to reappear under four cards, showcasing Miguel’s skillful combination of principles for a simple yet baffling effect.
Coins and Cylinder: Miguel presents his interpretation of the classic Cylinder and Coins by John Ramsay, filled with brilliant ideas and clever touches characteristic of the Spanish master.
Back and Forth: In this quick effect, a coin repeatedly jumps from under one card to another.
Paper Money: A straightforward matrix effect where cards are substituted with four pieces of paper. After drawing circles and placing coins beneath them, the coins vanish, only to reappear under the last circle drawn.
Clean Assembly: An almost self-working effect where three coins, each covered by a card, disappear one by one and reappear under the final card.
Coins in Glass: A classic and elegant effect featuring Miguel’s signature clever structure. Three coins are taken from a glass, covered with a handkerchief, and vanish at the fingertips before returning to their original position under the glass.
Pipette Coins: An imaginative piece of fictional magic where coins in a glass are ‘sucked up’ one by one using a pipette, with each phase building on the last to create a more astonishing outcome.
