Effect 1:

A spectator picks a card from the deck, tears off a corner, and keeps it as a receipt. The magician claims he will make the card vanish. After some playful banter, he successfully makes the card disappear! “Do you know where it went?” he asks, to which the spectator admits they do not. “Look over there; do you see what’s taped to that window?” The spectator turns to find their card securely taped to the window, and the corner receipt matches perfectly! “Isn’t it strange how I made your card appear there?” The spectator agrees. “But wait, I’ll show you something even stranger.” The magician fans out the cards, and the selected card visually jumps through the window! The tape is removed, and the spectator retrieves the card from the other side of the glass, with the corner still matching!

Effect 2:

A spectator selects a card and tears off a corner to keep as a receipt. The card is placed face up in the middle of the deck, which is then secured with a rubber band and held between the spectator’s palms. The magician guides the spectator to a nearby window adorned with a curtain featuring a large question mark.

He explains that he previously taped a playing card to the window as a prediction, with tape visible on either side of the curtain. After building suspense, the magician lifts the curtain to reveal a card taped to the window that matches the spectator’s selection. He points out that his prediction card also has a corner missing and asks the spectator to check the deck for their face-up selection, only to find it has vanished! The corner receipt is compared to the card on the window, confirming a perfect match. The best part follows:

The magician fans the cards again, and the selected card visually jumps through the window! The curtain is removed, and the spectator retrieves the card, which is genuinely on the other side of the glass, making everything examinable. The corner still matches!
