The Escape Artist Show
Experience the thrill of escape artistry with The Escape Artist Show, a captivating performance designed for audiences of all sizes. This collection of escape-themed effects showcases a diverse range of plots and techniques that will engage and astonish spectators.
The show kicks off with “Knot Tied,” where Dan demonstrates incredible knot releases using simple lengths of rope. Watch as he ties a rope around his wrist, then marvel as two tightly bound ropes seemingly melt apart. Finally, witness the ropes untie themselves at Dan’s command.
Next up is “Thumb Cuffs,” where Dan’s hands are secured with two pairs of thumb cuffs by audience members. The fun escalates as he not only escapes but also manages to shackle his helpers together. The first segment concludes with “Hostage,” showcasing Dan’s ability to free himself from tight bindings while seated.
“Jacket Off” introduces a classic magic principle, where a spectator’s jacket, threaded onto ropes held by two volunteers, is released unharmed. Following this, “Free Time” presents a visually stunning escape from metal shackles and padlocks, creating a sense of déjà vu. In “Thumb Tie,” Dan’s thumbs are bound with shoelaces, yet he astonishingly passes a solid metal ring through the ties and links himself to the spectator’s locked arms, all while his thumbs remain securely bound until the end.
The audience becomes the star in “Pull Through,” where two lengths of ribbon threaded through rings are seemingly pulled through a volunteer’s waist by two other spectators. No escape artist’s show is complete without a classic straitjacket escape, and “Dire Straights” delivers just that, filled with humor and suspense. The performance culminates with “Escape King,” where a signed playing card is mysteriously released from a ribbon, leaving no clues as to how it was accomplished. The card and ribbon are then gifted as a souvenir of this astonishing feat.
