Effect Summary:

Two spectators select cards from a shuffled deck, which are then returned and mixed. The magician draws five cards, displaying each one while asking, “Did anyone see their card?” One spectator affirms their choice.

The magician declares, “I will make your card invisible and remove it from the group.” He mimics this action, revealing that only four cards remain. The chosen card has vanished!

After confirming the packet contains just four cards, he pretends to restore the “invisible card” and spreads the cards to show five – four face-up X cards surrounding one face-down card. “There it is!” he exclaims, squaring the cards and once again pretending to make the selection invisible before placing it on the table.

This time, he tosses the “invisible card” into the deck, which is then spread face-down to reveal the face-up selection. He retrieves the packet, showing four X cards, and states, “Now, I’ll extract the other selection from the deck and add it to this packet.” He proceeds, ultimately spreading the cards to reveal four face-up X cards with the second selection nestled among them!
