Effect:

A spectator selects a card from the deck – the Two of Hearts. Another spectator attempts to ‘psychically locate’ the card but mistakenly identifies the King of Spades. To illustrate another psychic phenomenon, you offer to demonstrate ‘automatic writing.’ The face of the King is signed, and you begin to randomly stab at its back with a marker pen. When you reveal your ‘psychic auto-art,’ it appears as a series of random dots and dashes. However, you ask the first spectator to name their card – the Two of Hearts – and to focus on the random ink marks. With a gentle wave, the dots and dashes magically transform into the legible text spelling out the chosen card – Two of Hearts! The signed King is then handed out for thorough examination.
