A spectator randomly selects a card from a thoroughly shuffled deck, which has been inspected by others. This card is placed into an envelope, sealed, and then placed into a second envelope and sealed again, ensuring no one can see the card.

Without touching the envelopes, the mentalist senses the “energy” of the card. Audience members are then invited to think of a card and lock it in their minds. The mentalist moves through the crowd, extending a hand to pick up the vibrations from the audience that resonate with the chosen card.
