For years, I have been passionate about mentalism systems and presentations. In this collection, explore some of my favorite effects and techniques that push the boundaries of mentalism. Please note, this material is not for beginners; prior experience and confidence in mentalism are essential. Here’s what you’ll find:
blind-four: Four spectators each take a quarter of the deck and mix their packets below the table. They then select a card without revealing it and swap their remaining cards with another participant. After turning their packets over, they place their selected cards back, ensuring one card is reversed. When revealed, astonishingly, each spectator has turned over an ace! This effect requires no gimmicks or additional props—just a borrowed deck and the system. Once the cards are under the table, the performer does not touch them again. Everything relies on the spectators’ actions, and the deck resets instantly. blind-four includes a downloadable video for guidance.
blind-two: A variation of blind-four, this effect involves two spectators and two elastic bands! blind-two comes with a streaming video for easy learning.
coercion: With just two pieces of paper and two pens, you can read your spectator’s mind while teaching them to read yours in return! Originally released years ago, I refined the ending to ensure the performer remains clean, allowing the cards to stay on the table. This polished piece of mind reading can be executed in an instant. coercion includes a streaming video for detailed instructions.
weatherman: Using a stack of business cards, this effect allows you to switch folded billets invisibly and peek at secret information without any suspicious movements. Expect plenty of creative ideas with this one!
serendipity: Taken from my 2018 lecture, this drawing duplication effect is unlike any other. One spectator draws an image that another spectator is merely thinking of, and you predict the outcome before anyone arrives! Inspired by Atlas Brookings, the method is clever, subtle, and incredibly deceptive, resulting in a clean drawing duplication that feels like genuine mind reading and influence.
