In the introduction:

For six years, Al and I collaborated on a project called The New Jinx, a monthly journal dedicated to magic. This endeavor was born from my desire to honor Ted Annemann, the original creator of Jinx, who has profoundly influenced my journey. Additionally, I aimed to share my insights on the current landscape of professionalism in stage magic and mentalism. The journal became a perfect platform for these expressions, allowing creators to showcase their innovative ideas and document their contributions.

Al Forgione brought his artistic vision to the project, not only as a friend but also as someone who relishes the opportunity for creative expression.

After overcoming initial challenges, we reached a point where our shared objectives felt fulfilled. However, we were unexpectedly rewarded with the chance to connect with fascinating individuals, including contributors and readers alike. This enriching experience added a delightful dimension to our original purpose.

Yet, after seventy-two continuous months, we began to feel the weight of burnout and the question of what more could be said. Rather than let the quality decline, we made the difficult decision to say goodbye to our wonderful community. Leaving was simple, but staying away proved to be a challenge. Just shy of a year since our last issue, we are excited to announce our return.
