They memorize one card, replace it in the pile, and then remove a secret number of cards, completely losing track of their selection. You offer to locate the card but instead allow the spectator to perform the entire trick. They again remove a secret number of cards and deal them out, giving you every other card while placing the others at the bottom. This process continues until only one card remains in the spectator’s hand—it’s the chosen card! No sleight of hand, markings, duplicates, or guessing involved.
