This package showcases three unique car appearance illusions designed by J C:

• Phantom Car Appearance (from Equilateral 3)

• Bluff Appearance (from Equilateral 3)

• Light Pillars Production System (from Equilateral 3)

Each illusion employs distinct methods and designs, allowing for the production of a full-sized car with any technique.

• While “Phantom Car Appearance” and “Light Pillars” require a controlled environment, “Bluff Appearance” can be performed surrounded by the audience.

• “Phantom Car Appearance” and “Bluff Appearance” are ideal for trade shows, car launches, and corporate events.

• “Light Pillars” offers an instant reveal but is best suited for a theater stage with proper lighting control.

• All versions necessitate approximately 4 to 6 assistants, both on and off stage.

Note: The car appearances in this package do not include the setup used in J C’s car teleportation mega illusion, “Destination X,” which is available on YouTube. This is J C’s adaptation of Gerry Frenette’s Car Vanish.

The Phantom Car Appearance

A large enclosure is positioned on stage, featuring a solid front panel displaying the client’s logo or the illusionist’s name. As the performance commences, the front panel slides aside to reveal a slatted panel, allowing the audience to glimpse the empty black interior. This slatted panel is then moved, exposing the enclosure’s interior, which consists of two side walls and a back wall made of black cloth.

The illusionist and an assistant lift the back wall to demonstrate that the space behind the enclosure is empty. After lowering it back, they return to the front. The front panels are closed once more, and just two seconds later, pyrotechnics ignite, dramatically revealing a full-sized car accompanied by four dancers!

Bluff Appearance

A raised platform, visible from all angles, is set on stage. An all-around curtain, supported by a four-post structure, envelops the platform. Four performers enter the stage, stepping into the curtained area through vertical splits on either side. Moments later, the curtain drops, unveiling a car while the performers have mysteriously vanished.

Light Pillars Production System

Bright stage spotlights illuminate the center of the stage. Two vertical lighting trusses, each equipped with a row of lights, are maneuvered around the empty stage. As the lights are activated and the stage dims, the focus is on the two glowing “light pillars.”

The illusionist approaches one of the trusses, unfurling a large white roller blind between the two pillars. Almost instantly, as he begins to close the blind, the once-empty stage transforms with the sudden appearance of a cast of dancers!
