INSIGHT: A Unique ACAAN Experience

In this captivating mentalism effect, you engage two spectators in an unforgettable experiment. Begin by casually displaying a deck of cards face up, removing the joker, and placing the deck face down on the table. One spectator is invited to cut a portion of the deck and think of a card without revealing it. Importantly, you do not touch the cards, and the spectator simply focuses on their chosen card without writing it down.

Next, you shuffle the deck, ensuring the location of the thought-of card remains unknown. As you spread the cards face up, you inform the second spectator that the card could be anywhere in the deck. After flipping the deck face down, you ask this spectator to use their INSIGHT to select a number—let’s say they choose 27. They then deal out 27 cards face down, while you maintain your distance from the cards.

Once the pile is set, you ask the first spectator for the first time to reveal the card they were thinking of. You genuinely have no prior knowledge of their selection. You emphasize that the first spectator freely chose a number and dealt that many cards, highlighting the impossibility of knowing the top card of the pile. If they had stopped one card earlier, the outcome would have been different. The spectator then turns over the top card of the pile, revealing it is not their thought-of card. Finally, in a stunning climax, they reveal the card counted down to, and it matches their original thought!
