Who Is He?

Jan Forster has made a significant name for himself in Germany and across Europe. Since his appearances as a headliner and lecturer at the “Mindvention” 2011 in Las Vegas and the “Mind Summit” 2014 in Cologne, he has gained recognition in the global mentalism community.

As a full-time professional since 1983, Jan has performed in theaters, clubs, corporate events, cruise ships, and on television. Initially trained by Henk Vermeyden and Joe Nex, he began his career as a manipulator in magic, winning numerous awards, including the Grand Prix Prag 1981 and the German Championship from 1984 to 1986.

With a long-standing interest in mentalism, he fully transitioned to this art form in 2000. His extensive knowledge and rigorous training in magic have greatly influenced his work, although he has had to unlearn many techniques over the years.

A member of the Magic Circle (MZvD) and the Society of European Mentalists (GEM), Jan has published acclaimed lecture notes, DVDs, and contributions to various books and magazines. He has authored five books in German, with a sixth scheduled for release in 2016, along with an extensive English volume in preparation that will include previously published material and new updates.

Often referred to as “Germany’s most entertaining mentalist,” Jan captivates audiences for over two hours during his full evening shows. His colleagues admire his commitment to perfection and keen attention to detail. Despite his busy schedule, he enjoys collaborating and brainstorming with fellow mentalists and has a passion for reading from his extensive library.

Fluent in six languages, Jan travels worldwide. He resides in Germany with his wife Danielle, their two young daughters, and a cat.
