Who Is He?
John Archer, a former winner of ‘The Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year,’ has spent 28 years captivating audiences worldwide, including regular performances for British troops overseas. Many consider him the top Comedy Magician in the UK.
In February 2000, he was named ‘British Magical Champion of Comedy’ at The British Magical Championships. In November 2002, he was promoted to ‘Member of the Inner Magic Circle – with gold star’ at ‘The Magic Circle Awards Banquet’ and received ‘The Carlton Comedy Award’ for his exceptional blend of comedy and magic. In 2008, he won The Magic Circle Stage Magician of The Year.
In 2011, John appeared on ITV’s ‘Penn & Teller – Fool Us,’ hosted by Jonathan Ross, becoming the first magician to fool Penn & Teller and winning a trip to perform with them at The Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. In 2013, he starred in and wrote for the BAFTA-winning show ‘Help My Supply Teacher is Still Magic’ on CBBC.
