What Will She Teach?

Name an Ace: A playful method to produce any named ace. Perfect for quickly selecting and signing a card. We cover Greek deals, crimps, and shuffling controls based on the chosen card.

An Ambitious Card: Inspired by Michael Ammar, this routine includes Wesley James’ ‘Load up’. I present it uniquely to highlight the parallels between card cheats and magicians.

Card Counting Demo: This routine works with ANY stack, using a memory deck presentation that tricks the audience into believing you possess extraordinary memory and card counting skills.

Instinct/Red and Black: Utilizing John Kennedy’s classic Red and Black method, I add my own presentation and nuances, making this a visually stunning piece suitable for both stage and close-up performances with two audience members.

Shuffle Tracking: A clever technique by David Britland that convinces the audience of your tracking abilities, and even allows spectators to track cards too! This deck also enables an ACAAN effect, and we discuss how to ‘gaff’ the deck.

Order: The highlight of my show CHEAT, this routine is very personal to me. Performed to music, a shuffled deck is restored to order through an impressive series of moves, deals, and shuffles, inspired by Daniel Madison.

Who Is She?

Laura’s passion for magic ignited at just 10 years old. By 18, she became the youngest female member of The Magic Circle. Now, 16 years later, she holds a prestigious position in the Inner Magic Circle with a gold star.

Initially focused on a variety of close-up magic, Laura now specializes in card magic. Her exceptional skills led her to the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe with her self-devised show ‘Laura London: Cheat’, earning 4-star reviews. She also performed at the ‘Secret Cellar’ in London’s Vaulty Towers.

Her expertise in close-up and card magic has made her one of London’s most sought-after magicians, with residencies at Café Royal, Rosewood Hotel, The Savoy, and the Hippodrome Casino. Currently, she performs at the Café de Paris and Circus London.

Laura’s performances at corporate and private events have taken her globally, including cities like Mumbai, Tokyo, Sydney, Dubai, New York, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. She has had the honor of performing for His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and at Buckingham Palace for Her Majesty the Queen.

In addition, Laura has become an authority on the history of women in magic and is frequently invited to speak on the subject.
