Introducing a professional routine that belongs in your close-up magic arsenal!

After an extensive two-month tour across the USA, I’m excited to share one of my personal favorite routines, a staple in my close-up performances that is both unique and truly magical!

Debuted at my lecture during the Blackpool Magic Convention in 2019, LIGHT captivated an audience of over 650 magicians, both seasoned professionals and enthusiastic amateurs!

Many of you witnessed this effect and have requested it. So, without further delay, here it is – LIGHT!

Effect:

Begin with your deck of cards.

Here’s a quick overview of the routine:

1. A card is freely selected by a spectator.
2. The deck is placed face down next to the card case, ensuring no one knows the location of the chosen card.
3. Show your hands empty, then bring each card towards the light bulb one at a time. As you do, one card will cause the bulb to light up dramatically!
4. Remove the card, and the bulb goes dark. Bring it back, and the bulb lights up again!
5. Try with other cards, but only one card triggers the light.
6. Reveal the card – it’s the spectator’s signed selection!

To conclude, hand over everything (the bulb, the card, and the card case) for thorough examination. Your audience will find nothing amiss!
