Effect:

The Mentalist begins by borrowing a few coins. A participant chooses one and notes the year stamped on it, then adds the digits of that year to create a secret number.

The participant conceals the coin in one of their hands and presents both fists in front, making it impossible to discern which hand holds the coin.

With focused concentration, the Mentalist reveals the participant’s secret number, identifies the hand containing the coin, specifies the coin’s denomination, and even discloses the exact year!
