RE:MONITION
In this captivating effect, the magician displays two decks of cards—one red and one blue. A spectator is invited to think of a card, confirming that their choice is entirely spontaneous and unshared. The magician then attempts to make the thought-of card invisibly transfer from the blue deck to the red deck. After a magical gesture, the spectator counts through the blue deck, only to find their card has vanished! The red deck is revealed, and upon naming their card, the spectator discovers it among the face-up cards, with a single blue-backed card turning out to be their thought-of card.
RING ON NOTEPAD
Inspired by an effect created for Geoffrey Durham, this trick involves the magician referring to a notepad while attempting to make a spectator’s ring disappear. To their amazement, the ring reappears linked to the notepad’s spiral binding, requiring wire cutters for its retrieval.
BIG SURVIVOR 2
Developed for Stephen Mulhern’s performance on SM:TV, this effect turns the audience into participants of a magical reality show. Contestants are nominated and evicted based on audience votes, culminating in a final vote for the winner. Remarkably, the magician reveals he had predicted the winner twice, despite the audience’s free choices.
RECAFFINATED COFFEE
Created with Pete McCahon and Richard Pinner, this effect features the magician making a cup of coffee, only to ‘unmake’ it by spitting out the components—milk, clear water, sugar, and coffee granules—after drinking it.
OUT OF THIS HOUSE
This is Anthony’s take on Paul Curry’s ‘Out of this World,’ performed with a shuffled deck. The spectator correctly sorts the cards into ‘Reds’ and ‘Blacks’ without any interruptions or swaps.
THE AMAZING KARATE PENCIL OF DEATH
This acclaimed handling allows the spectator to remove their marked coin from the pencil themselves, showcasing a unique twist on the classic pencil-through-coin effect.
