Take A Seat
Experience the magic of “Take A Seat” by Wayne Dobson in collaboration with Alan Wong, where the classic ‘Chair Test’ merges with ‘Pseudo Psychometry’. This routine showcases the impactful results of modern stage mentalism.
By blending these two mentalism staples, you gain a versatile routine suitable for stage, parlor, and close-up performances. The best part? All props fit conveniently in your pocket.
Forget about electronics, magnets, or complicated setups. This effect is straightforward and high-impact, embodying the essence of ‘The Dobson Approach’.
Effect: The performer invites four spectators onstage, where four chairs are arranged. A black bag is presented, from which four colored balls (red, blue, green, and yellow) are poured into one participant’s hands for inspection before returning them to the bag. After mixing the balls, each spectator selects one without looking, concealing it in their fist.
Once seated, they peek at their chosen ball, keeping it hidden from others. The performer then reveals the color of each ball held by the spectators. Finally, each participant lifts their chair to reveal a matching colored ball underneath!
