“This is the most straightforward drawing duplication technique I’ve ever encountered… Absolutely perfect.” -José Prager

The magician invites a spectator to envision a simple drawing they can create. A small envelope is produced, revealing only a blank card inside, while the envelope itself appears empty. The spectator secretly sketches their image and places it face down into the envelope, which they then hold securely in their hands.

The performer expresses a slight challenge in fully grasping the drawn image, stating: “When asked to draw, people often visualize their idea with great clarity. However, as they put pencil to paper, the details may get lost or simplified due to the pressure of the task. I sense you’ve drawn something, but it might be open to interpretation. For instance, someone might think of a pyramid yet only sketch a basic triangle. Can you think of a single word that perfectly encapsulates your image?”

The spectator then reveals their drawing and writes the chosen word beneath it. They are encouraged to fold the image into quarters or crumple it into a loose ball before placing it back into the envelope, which is sealed and held tightly.

Now, you can replicate their drawing, and the best part is, you can leave them with everything.

Key features to remember:

  • There are no switches or thefts involved.
  • No peeking at the spectator’s word.
