Arturo de Ascanio y Navaz (1926-1997) is celebrated as the pioneer of Spanish card magic. Although he was a lawyer by profession, his passion for magic led him to become a prominent figure in the field, co-founding the esteemed Escuela Mágica de Madrid.
The first volume, The Structural Conception of Magic, explores his theoretical insights. The subsequent volumes, Studies of Card Magic and More Studies of Card Magic, showcase his innovative card techniques. The fourth volume, Knives and Color-Blindness, focuses on magic involving pocket knives.
