Paul Daniels: Complete Card Link (1982)
“The Complete Card Link” demonstrated by David Persson
In 1979, Sixten Beme introduced “The Complete Card Link,” a captivating effect where the centers of two cards are removed, allowing the outer frames to link together magically. This stunning illusion concludes with the linked cards being handed to the audience, creating a lasting impression. The effect gained significant attention, showcased by renowned performers such as Doug Henning and Paul Daniels.
In 1996, Sixten unveiled his follow-up, “One Card Link,” which innovatively uses a single card to create the linked frames. This remarkable adaptation further solidified his legacy in the world of magic.
Sixten Beme passed away in 2001 at the age of 76, while working on a new version of his Complete Card Linking. His unpublished handling was designed for informal settings, requiring minimal preparation yet capable of astonishing even seasoned magicians familiar with his original technique.
