Introducing Use Your Illusions
From the mind behind Brain Play, as endorsed by Phedon Bilek in his acclaimed book Proteus, we present a fresh ebook release: Use Your Illusions. This collection features captivating card mentalism effects tailored for close-up and walkaround performances.
What’s Inside?
Pens N’ Ruses: A participant pens the name of a card on a post-it, folds it, and tucks it away. Meanwhile, another participant shuffles the deck and deals cards based on their intuition. When the post-it is revealed, it matches the card they stopped at, showcasing a remarkable demonstration of synchronicity—ideal for couples or wedding events.
November Frame: Similar to the previous effect, but this time participants create a doodle. They mix their drawing with others and stop when they feel compelled, revealing a perfect match to their original thought.
Paradise Tricky: A freely chosen card is discovered to be the only one absent from an unaltered deck, with the performer having predicted it in advance.
Sweet DL of Mine: A participant thinks of a card, notes it on a post-it, and sets it aside. An unrelated card is placed in their hands, which magically transforms into their thought-of card.
Welcome to the Jumble: The performer names their favorite card, and not only does the participant find it from a shuffled deck, but they also manage to deal down to a card they were thinking of.
Appetite for Deckstruction: A compilation of ideas that complement this principle, including a star sign divination inspired by Ian Wragg and a contribution from Steve Wood, showcasing another astounding synchronicity between the performer’s and participant’s chosen cards.
