Who Is Derren Brown?

Derren Brown, born in Croydon in 1971, discovered his passion for magic while studying law and German at Bristol University. A hypnotist named Martin S Taylor performed at the university, captivating Derren and igniting his interest in the art of magic.

Before gaining fame with Derren Brown: Mind Control in 2000, he honed his skills performing card magic in a Bristol pub. His breakthrough came thanks to card magician Jerry Sadowitz, who introduced him to Objective Productions, the creators of his show.

With numerous awards and critical acclaim for his television and stage performances, Derren has established himself as a master of mentalism. His journey began with a deep appreciation for impactful card magic, always aiming to connect emotionally with his audience.
