In this ebook, I will reveal a card location method that has successfully deceived some of the most renowned card magicians. These are individuals you would think are impossible to fool, yet they were caught off guard. Even my magician friends, who are more knowledgeable than I am and have figured out all my previous tricks, were stumped by this one. This is the “exception” that left them baffled.

I believe this effect to be my strongest creation to date, and I doubt any future creations will surpass it. While there are countless card location tricks available, the unique conditions under which this one is performed set it apart.

A written description isn’t necessary, as a friend has graciously provided a full performance demo (with a spectator), which you can watch below. However, here are some key conditions to consider before viewing the video:

• The spectator can thoroughly examine the deck (front and back) at the start to confirm it is a regular deck. When performing for magicians, I ask them to riffle through the deck to ensure it’s not marked. They can also check for any pencil dots, crimps, or nicks. Once they verify the deck is ungimmicked, the effect can commence.

• The magician does not peek at the card faces during the deal.

• The method is completely reliable — the effect will never fail. If you think of a method that seems uncertain, then you’re considering the wrong approach.
