A Captivating Card Routine for All Audiences

This incredible card trick is perfect for both experienced magicians and newcomers to the art of magic. It guarantees to impress and engage everyone in attendance.

  • No sleight of hand required
  • No gimmicks involved
  • No manipulation necessary
  • No prior preparation needed

Using any deck of cards, even one borrowed from a spectator, you can perform this stunning routine with ease. The trick unfolds in a thrilling three-part crescendo, leaving your audience in disbelief, exclaiming, “No way, this is… IMPOSSIBLE!”

EFFECT:

The magician selects 10 cards from the deck—5 red and 5 black, all of the same value (for example, Aces to 5s of Hearts and Clubs). A spectator is invited to assist and can examine the cards thoroughly; they are completely ordinary.

The spectator chooses one set of cards while the magician takes the other. Both sets are shuffled, and the magician places his five cards face down on the table. The spectator then deals his cards face up on top of each of the magician’s cards, freely choosing how to do so. When the cards are collected in pairs, they are perfectly matched.

Encouraged by the spectator’s success, the magician raises the stakes. The spectator takes all the black cards, shuffles them, and lays them face down on the table, ensuring that neither he nor the magician knows which card is which. The spectator repeats this with the red cards, layering them on top of the black ones. After forming five pairs, the magician examines each pair and, once again, finds that the spectator has perfectly matched the black and red cards.

For the final challenge, the magician hands all 10 cards back to the spectator for inspection, confirming they are untampered. The spectator shuffles all the cards together, then deals them face down in a scattered arrangement on the table. The magician instructs the spectator to create five pairs, placing one card atop another at his discretion, with the option to swap cards if desired. Once completed, the pairs are revealed, and the magician, astonished, discovers that the spectator has once again achieved the impossible—every card is perfectly paired.
