Lecture at Flat No.9 by Andrew Frost
This is a live recording of my lecture at Flat No. 9, featuring additional footage to enhance the teaching experience.
First Section – BTW
In this section, I provide a comprehensive breakdown of my approach to each sleight, complemented by close-up shots and a behind-the-shoulder view for clarity.
- False Swing Cut
- False Table Cut
- Turn Over Pass
- Diagonal Palm Shift
- FTJ Cover Pass
Second Section – Routines
Final Destination – A method to equivocate to a single card.
Single Phase Ambitious – My unique take on the ambitious card, designed to create a genuinely impossible experience in a single phase.
Window Change + Window Palm + Imaginary Card – A color change technique that avoids the typical stealing and replacing actions found in many methods, such as the Erdnase Change. I also present two applications for this move, including a clean yet angle-sensitive card-to-pocket and an alternative handling for Tony Chang’s renowned imaginary card routine.
Hypnosis Card – A spectator thinks of a card, which then appears on top of the deck, only to be revealed as never having been there. The impossibility escalates as the spectator holds a card they believe is their selection, which is ultimately shown to be in the center all along. A routine where nothing overtly happens, yet the spectator perceives their selection in various positions through mere suggestion.
Designed for Laughter – My modernized interpretation of a classic trick from the Royal Road, streamlined with contemporary sleights and construction.
