Discover David Devlin’s Packet Tricks eBook

David Devlin, a passionate creator of packet tricks, presents an exciting eBook featuring nine of his finest tricks. This volume is part of a series, with the second installment titled Packet Racket II. The collection includes tricks that utilize standard cards, gaffs, and even impromptu methods. It’s not just for magicians; this book is a fantastic resource for laypeople, restaurant performers, bar magicians, close-up artists, and more.

While all tricks are packet-based, they often deliver the impact of larger effects. Most utilize classic packet trick techniques, including simple switches, false counts, and deceptive displays, making them accessible to any card magician.

Inside this eBook, you’ll find:

Las Vegas Passover

This effect offers an ungaffed twist on Simon Aronson’s “Red See Passover.” A chosen card from a blue-backed packet mysteriously travels to a red-backed packet, creating an astonishing illusion. Spectators count the cards in both packets before and after the effect, even removing the blue-backed cards from the red-backed packet themselves, ensuring a hands-off magical experience.

Joker Poker Outdone

In this routine, a packet of five cards is revealed to be all Jokers. One Joker is placed face down as the “hole card,” while the others transform into the 10, Jack, Queen, and King of Spades. The hole card remains a Joker until the magician seamlessly changes it into the Ace of Spades, completing the royal flush. This effect is also ungaffed and can be performed impromptu, with optional gaffing suggested for an even cleaner finish.
