Discover over 100 pages filled with routines, principles, and presentations crafted by Steve Wachner, the author of Edison Notes.

Short Fuse – This two-person code is easy to learn and perfect for those you work with regularly, yet not too often. It requires minimal memorization and can be applied to playing cards, birth months, or even entire lists with some practice.

Academia – A clever three-letter star sign revelation.

Zatyricon – After a brief conversation, the performer hands a fortune-telling card to the participant. This card not only predicts the next event but also reveals something personal about the spectator later at home. The prediction is printed, not written, leaving the spectator thoroughly impressed. This concept can complement Peter Turner’s fortune cookie but stands as a unique idea. It includes additional strategies to make spectators desire your business cards, along with templates for personal creation.

Pop Lockin’ Beats – “I’ve often wondered if others can do what I do.” The performer writes down their ATM PIN (or bike lock combination, phone PIN, etc.) and guides the spectator to guess it. This quick reverse PIN reveal astonishes audiences. While it may not always succeed, a complete routine structure is provided to extract further information from the spectator, transforming a close-up performance into a captivating SHOW.

More Impressive Ploy – Drawing inspiration from Watkins’ “Severance,” this principle renders billets nearly ineffective in the audience’s perception while enhancing the routine’s casual and impressive nature. It includes various presentations and methods for utilizing this principle without props, making it a standout favorite among performers who previewed it.

Planned Obsolescence – A DIY PK gimmick that can be created at little to no cost. We recommend keeping this concept understated in promotional materials.

Night Flight to Rio – A spectator selects one of two opaque envelopes, each containing a postcard. They are free to choose, and the envelopes are unmarked. The spectator learns to use their intuition to uncover details about the postcard inside, making it an excellent opener or casual effect designed for guaranteed success.

The Man Who Fooled Edison – A clever combination of principles creates an impressive rendition of the Bert Reese three billet routine, utilizing no extra billets. The routine builds naturally, with principles that support each other for enhanced deception.

Serendipitous – After engaging with a group, the performer places their wallet on the table and shares a story about serendipity. The narrative culminates in a slip of paper found in the wallet (which can even be retrieved by the spectator), displaying the participant’s birthdate, ATM PIN, or another significant number. This slip is not merely a prediction but an integral part of the story. While a method is mentioned, it is not fully detailed as it follows standard practices. Presentation and structure

Get Real Paid – A technique for loading a prediction into an ungimmicked wallet.

The book also includes an essay on propless playing card guesses and a crib for Academia. Many routines offer multiple presentations and can be easily adapted. It features several complete routines, not just effects, but also ways to structure multiple effects for maximum impact.

Access performance videos for routines like Night Flight to Rio, The Man Who Fooled Edison, Academia, and Pop Lockin’ Beats. You’ll also receive business card templates and entry to a secret Facebook group.

Contributions include:

A foreword by Watkins, author of Jhana and Positive/Negative.

Zodiac Business by Pablo Amira – From his book “B’Cards,” this method predicts someone’s Zodiac sign using your business cards.

Ode to Bert Reese by Craig Logan – Originally titled “Alternate Presentation” in his PDF “Opsis,” this offers an alternative method for The Man Who Fooled Edison.

Memoria Light by Adrien Lochon – Although named after Fraser Parker’s Memoria, it presents a completely different method and presentation for revealing details of a thought-of memory without any written notes.

Stardust by Corey White – Initially released for $20, this routine allows you to discover someone’s birth month during a numerology reading.

“Tesla Files is another innovative collection of mentalism from Steve Wachner. It guides you through lesser-known principles and effects, delving into star sign divination and numerology. The contributions from guest creators enhance the book nicely. Highly recommended.”Steve Drury
